Corona Information
Updated information from the MIC
Corona Information in August 2024:
Since 13 February 2023, Berlin-specific coronavirus measures no longer apply. The Berlin Corona Ordinance is no longer in force.
If you suspect an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus or have unclear cold symptoms, you should seek clarification or testing. The clarification should primarily be carried out by your GP practice.
More information is available here from the National Health Service.

Protection from viral infections
Wash your hands
Thoroughly wash your hands with soap or washing lotion to reliably kill (corona) viruses. To protect their skin, hospital and outpatient staff use hand disinfectants instead. When used properly, the effect is comparable. Always wash or disinfect your hands before touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
When washing hands, soap up to the wrist for at least 20 seconds.
Correct sneezing and coughing
Viruses are mainly transmitted by droplets (directly or via the hands).
To protect others: keep your distance when coughing or sneezing, turn away and sneeze into the crook of your arm (not into your hands).
Be careful when touching
Viruses can adhere to surfaces that are touched by many people. For safety, press elevator buttons with a pen or open door handles using your elbow.
Wearing a protective mask
Face masks protect others.
Please do not touch the surface of the mask after putting it on and disinfect your hands. A used mask is a potential accumulation of viruses just like a used handkerchief.
