Information for visitors

Connecting with people is what gives life its value

Information for visitors

Visitors are an important part of the recovery process and welcome to the MIC Hospital at any time. The comfort and healing of our patients is our number one priority, both of which can be positively influenced by the presence of friends and family.

Suggested visiting hours are between 10 am and 8 pm. This gives the doctors time for the morning rounds and allows for patients to have an early night.

Information on visiting hours

Visiting Hours

You can visit at any time, as our hospital does not restrict visiting hours. If you arrive after regular hours, simply follow the on-site instructions to reach the wards. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00, and Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00.

Office Hours

The MIC is available from 8:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00.

Stay in Touch

Once the patient returns to their room, you can call them directly on their mobile phone. If it’s late or early, please be mindful of other patients resting in the room. Each bed has its own phone number, which you can use once provided by the patient. For other inquiries, call us at 030 809 88 – 155.

Gifts are Welcome

Although we don’t have a newsagent or flower shop on-site, you can still bring small gifts to brighten the patient’s day. We’ve compiled a list of nearby flower and gift shops for your convenience. If you have any questions, many answers can be found in our FAQs.

Information on visitation policy

We very much like to have you visit us in our hospital. Nevertheless, there are a few rules of conduct that we ask you to follow:

  • Please disinfect your hands before entering the patient room. There are sufficient hand disinfection devices in the hospital and on the wards.
  • Do not smoke anywhere in the hospital.
  • We have single and double rooms. Be considerate of other patients when you are in the room. Feel free to use the beautifully furnished and sunny lobbies.
  • Children are welcome.  If under the age of fourteen, please ensure adult supervision.
  • Flowers are a lovely gesture. Please note, however, that potted plants are not allowed for sanitary reasons.
  • If you are ill or have a fever or a cold, do not visit, as patients are more susceptible to infections postoperatively.

Information for accompanying persons, accommodation and food

Sometimes a longer wait may be necessary.

We have compiled a few ideas for all accompanying persons who part company with our patients outside the hospital for the duration of an appointment:

Our VIB’s – Very Important Bees!

Do you already know the MIC bees? Opposite the small fountain, in front of the old administration building, you will find the bee box painted blue. This is where our hard-working MIC bees work. We also harvest MIC honey every year.  The meadows around it used to be cultivated lawns. Now you can admire the return to nature in all seasons.

Treat Yourself!

Treat yourself to lunch, a snack, or just a drink at Pauls Deli, which was fully renovated in 2021. Pauls Deli is located in the direction of Spanische Allee and can be reached from the outside.

We have created an orientation guide for you here.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call our marketing department on 030 809 88-330.
